Way smarter than most elected officials, Norte’s Gordito is our ranch clown; but, one look at him and his bloodlines will tell you that he is a true clown prince. His pedigree is stacked back six to seven generations with nothing but the very best animals in the history of the breed and he looks it. His structure and movement are incredible. His flashy color truly just keeps getting better every day. At first, we thought that he might turn out wide and thick, but not particularly tall. We thought too soon. He’s turning out to be both thick and tall. One of his horns started out canted back a bit crooked; but, it is straightening out well and both horns still keep growing and growing pretty fast, straight out of the sides of his very broad head. His disposition goes far beyond eat-out-of-your-hand friendly; although he is growing up out on the range and is no delicate lawn ornament, Gordito still loves human attention like a big lapdog.
